About Us

We are a non-profit organization interested in the cause of children and young people, particularly in education and care support. Our mission is to help as many young people as possible in difficult situations in these aforementioned areas. For the moment, we are based in the north of Haiti, more particularly in the city of Cap-Haïtien. Our staff founding members are made up of responsible and conscientious citizens working both in Haiti and in the diaspora.

Our Mission

The Children’s Village Foundation and Cares is a non-profit institution, governed by these statutes and Haitian legislation. The Children’s Village Foundation and Cares aims to:
a) Help deprived children, orphans, and abandoned children by offering them a structure reception, access to education, professional training, and health care;
b) Take charge of the training of young people from the most vulnerable backgrounds with a view to enable their social and professional integration;
c) Invest in any humanitarian project aimed at helping the Haitian population achieve an optimal level of economic development;
Its vocation is, among other things, to carry out any activity of a philanthropic nature that may be directly or indirectly linked to its purpose as well as all activities with a non-philanthropic purpose generating financial products. It achieves its objectives by the following means:
a) The creation and management of an orphanage in Cap-Haitien.
b) The creation and management of the establishment of services responding to the corporate purpose.
c) Academic and professional training for children at risk.
d)The publication of all bulletins, reports, and works intended to publicize its activities and their results.
e) Information and public awareness campaigns.
f) Cooperation with all natural or legal persons, public or private, whose activities fall within the corporate purpose of the foundation.
The foundation has its headquarters and main establishment at number 523, Rue 1L, Cap-Haitien, but may have offices in other cities in the country even outside the republic, in places chosen by the Board of Directors. The foundation is created for an unlimited period, except in the event of early dissolution by the provisions of article 19 hereof.

Yanick JEAN-BAPTISTE

President

Born September 10, 1959 in Cap-Haitien, is married and mother, Former employee of American Airlines and Teleco+, she is the Instigator and founding member of the FCVC. She lends her services as president of the foundation.

Jacky PIERRE

Vice-president

Born January 14, 1985 in Plaisance in the northern department of Haiti; Married and father of four children, he is a lawyer, entrepreneur, specialist in police and diplomatic security. Jacky is a founding member of the CVFC and serves as its vice-president.

Wilkair FÉGOND

Treasurer

Experienced professional in communications (journalism and marketing) and Information Communication Technologies (ICT), is a founding member of FCVC; he collaborates as treasurer of the institution.

Guy MÉLÉANCE

Advisor

Originally from the north of Haiti, eldest and only son of a family of 6, he naturally developed a passion for helping the weakest. Bring his contribution as president for more than 10 years of a large evangelical youth association in Port-au-Prince. Now sides with CVFC as an advisor to continue his philanthropic path.
